Emma Mason
Discipline: Eventing
With an early goal to represent Australia, Emma’s dream came true in 2019 when she was selected for the Australian team competing at the Oceania Championships in Taupo, New Zealand – and she hasn’t looked back. Although she’s had her share of challenges, Emma is a successful eventer, a lawyer, mother and wife, somehow managing to juggle those roles in style.
Vicki Roycroft
Discipline: Show Jumping
Three-time Olympian Vicki Roycroft has won more World Cup Qualifiers that any other Australian rider. She has represented Australia at four World Cup Finals, is an NCAS Level III Show Jumping and Eventing Coach, has previously served as Chair on the EA National Show Jumping Committee and the Australian Show Jumping Riders Association, and was the recipient of an Australian Sports Medal.
David Shoobridge
Discipline: Dressage
David Shoobridge is an elite Australian dressage rider and highly sought after trainer. His partnership with the phenomenal KWPN stallion, 00 Seven, established them as one of Australia’s most successful combinations in the world of FEI dressage, and confirmed David as one of the leading dressage riders in the country. This experience, coupled with his acute eye for detail and his highly articulate and charismatic style means that David is also in high demand as a trainer and coach.
Alanna Richards
Discipline: Showing
An experienced show rider with a string of Royal Champions and Reserve Championships behind her, Alanna is ideally placed to help you make your show ring dreams a reality. But for Alanna, who has some great mentors herself, it’s not just about the riding and show ring successes. It’s about constant improvement, being a good horsewoman, and always striving to be better than the last time.
Jamie Hocking
Discipline: Vaulting
Jamie has made a definitive mark in the world of international vaulting. He’s ranked 12th globally, is the current Australian Equestrian Vaulting Champion, and after competing for Australia in his first World Cup competition in Paris, he earned a commendable third place. In 2019, Jamie gave back to his sport as the Chef d’Equip for the Australian Junior Vaulting Team at the World Championships.
Jade Findlay
Discipline: Eventing
A full time 5* eventer and EA coach who has trained and competed horses to the highest level, Jade attributes much of her success to the fantastic early start she had under the guidance of Christopher Bartle, and later, Stuart Tinney. Her current goal is to once again represent Australia, and to travel with her horses to major overseas shows.
David Finch
Discipline: Show Jumping, Breeding
National coach educator, former Equestrian Australia Coach of the Year, and five-time Equestrian Queensland Coach of the Year, David is a member of an elite group of Australian Level 3 Accredited Show Jumping coaches. Along with these impressive coaching credentials, David has a track record as a successful competitor at international level, and as an owner and breeder of elite horses.
Mick Taylor
Discipline: Reining
Trust the process – enjoy the journey: Words to live by from Mick Taylor, one of Australia’s most successful professional reiners with multiple Championships to his credit. He’s also a professional horse trainer who produces quality horses for non-pro riders, and a respected mentor who has supported many a young reiner on their journey to achieving their goals in the pen.
Christine Armishaw
Discipline: Jumping, Confidence coaching
As a qualified EA Coach and horse trainer, Christine specialises in women returning to riding and young riders figuring out first-time horse ownership. She focuses on teaching not just how to ride, but in creating confidence by learning to read and understand your horse, which is fundamental to your horse’s well-being and to your partnership no matter what stage you’re at or what your goals might be.
Warwick Schiller
Discipline: Natural Horsemanship
An expert horseman who has twice competed at the World Equestrian Game, Warwick Schiller’s approach to horsemanship is a mix of mindfulness and a willingness to go with the flow. His extensive research has led him into connection and relationship-based concepts, which have proved to be successful with even the most anxious of horses.
Shane Davidson
Discipline: Show Jumping
He’s a dad, a professional show jumping rider at World Cup level, a Level II Coach, a professional trainer, and a committed breeder of elite performance Warmbloods. He has also trained to Grand Prix level dressage and has competed successfully in that discipline. His goal is to consistently produce horses that are competitive at a national and international level.
Mattea Davidson
Discipline: Show Jumping
She’s a mum, a professional rider in CCI4* level eventing and World Cup show jumping, an equine veterinarian, Level II Coach, Competitive Edge Coach, and a committed breeder of elite performance Warmbloods.
Charlie Brister
Discipline: Show Jumping, Eventing, Horsemanship
Charlie Brister of Blue Gum Perfomance Horses is an all-round horseman based north of Sydney on the Central Coast. His expertise is in re-training problem horses, as well as coaching riders in the art of cross country, show jumping and dressage. For several years he wrote an informative training article for Equestrian Hub Magazine and is now the host of the hugely popular Equestrian Hub Podcast.
