Product review: Harry’s Horse Cool-Riderz Tights by Dannii Cunnane

I have been lucky enough to test ride a pair of Harrys Horse Cool-Riderz riding tights this month. While initially I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea, it’s not easy being a bigger lady wearing spandex, I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and flattering these riding tights are.

I was expecting the tights to be restrictive and uncomfortable but they are easily pulled on and have a waistband that is comfortable, elastic and doesnt dig in. The seams dont allow for chafing or rubbing and the super sticky silicone stripes along the seat and legs provide a great grip to my leather saddle.

I’ve had several lessons in these tights and although the Queensland weather has been unseasonably warm for this time of the year, I was cool and comfortable. The tights are made from a moisture wicking material (its a light nylon spandex fabric) and even with long socks and dressage boots, I was not a sweaty betty upon dismounting. They are going to be an absolute pleasure to wear when the Summer heat kicks in!

The right leg also has a pocket which is super easy to access. It runs down the thigh so I was able to access my phone with ease (I always listen to music while riding) and made skipping to the next song a breeze. Like most women, Im a tad body conscious and I have bumps in the wrong places. The streamlined design gives me a lovely silhouette – even when in the saddle. Not a cellulite dimple to be seen!

I really love these riding tights, they are comfortable enough to wear all day and you’re not picking them out of your nether regions – they definitely stay in place. I have to confess that Ive actually worn these tights to the gym when my active wear bottoms have been in the wash. Stylish and multifunctional – what more could a girl want?!
