A successful competitor with a string of successes behind her, Amanda is a full-time professional rider, a popular clinician, a well-known entertainer, and a much sought-after motivational speaker. She competes a team of top-level show jumpers, and still finds time to travel the world in search of adventure.
Born and bred in New Zealand, Amanda grew up competing, and was show jumping at Grand Prix level by the age of 13. In 2009, she crossed paths with Showtym Viking, her pony of a lifetime, and together they went on to win many of the nation’s most prestigious show jumping titles.
Over the years, she has gained a reputation for starting and producing horses through to the highest levels of show jumping, and her career highlights include winning the Pony of the Year, National Pony Grand Prix Championships, 5-Year-Old Series and 7-Year-Old Horse of the Year, as well as placings in the Olympic Cup in both 2015 and 2016.
Amanda is also a popular clinician and has taught thousands of riders during retreats and clinics, as well as at New Zealand’s biggest equestrian events. She is also a well-known entertainer who has hosted night shows at Equidays, Equifest and Equitana.
In her spare time, Amanda writes and studies the effects of trauma in both humans and horses.
